announcing the carnival of careers

    Great idea for a carnival. The only thing I would add is a lifestyle section (like the cost of working 80hrs+ week)- as this goes hand in hand with career.

    Discovered your blog recently and really liked some of your recent articles. I will contribute to this carnival and once I have established my blog a bit more I will sign up for hosting.

    Amazing this doesn't exist already, considering that there seems to be a Carnival of Toenail Clipping at this point. Good stuff, there is lots of wisdom and experience around los blogosphere as regards career. I look forward to it.

    @guinness416: Yeah, the Carnival of Toenail Clipping would be sadly mainstream compared to many of the carnivals out there. It's a spammy business. And yeah, you're completely right - I thought "sheesh, there are so many good career articles but they never get consolidated in one place." And then I thought "someone should do something!" And then a month later I thought "Hey! I'm someone!"

    So that's how that thought process goes...

    @AndyS: There is a "work/life balance" category which probably matches what you're talking about. And certainly don't feel the need to be TOO established - hosting a carnival is a great way to get a new blog off the ground!

    i have just had my SSD case heard on May 8th & it looks very good i will be award it. What i am really trying to do is get a little boost until they actuall send me my lump sum money from back to dec 06. my credit is not good! do i have a chance of anyone loaning me money on these p2p sites and info will be appreciated.

    I'm a carnival fanatic as well. I like the idea of one specifically focused on careers. I'll see if I can rustle up something by Friday night.
