Great story! I frequently have the problem of falling in love with a small item...for no other reason than it brings out the romantic within...I have a small obsession with Crane's stationery...

I really like making lists.
i like the feel of a pencil in my hand and writing on the paper and crossing things out...
I shall stay far away from this. I already covet a list-making book. No need to want another. :)
I frequently scribble blog posts on paper half asleep in bed. lol

@paidtwice: Resistance is futile. Go get a Moleskine. There is no alternative.
Seriously, you and SD should stay away from them. I'm not much of a stationery junkie but these little notebooks were so classy and so pleasant to the touch and eye that they were impossible to put down. There should be a law, to be honest.
