Rhonda · 10 months agoGreat post and links. The gig economy idea is definitely interesting. And the idea of starting now, even if you are already fully employed so that you have alternatives makes sense, too. Thanks for the great post.

Diana · 10 months agoI really enjoyed the underemployment link. I haven't been a reader of FreeMoneyFinance, but I just became one.

Hunter Nuttall · 10 months agoThat comment rage thing is interesting. Have you received any death threats (credible or not) for either of your identities? I guess it's bound to happen eventually, if a blog keeps growing. Hopefully, most of these people aren't serious.

Steve · 10 months agoI haven't received any death threats - fortunately - but I could see it heading in that direction easily. I've received a fair number of hateful and vitriolic emails and comments, and I'm hardly a huge-traffic blogger. I can't imagine what type of things bigger sites receive. It must be frightening, and if I was in the position where I needed security, etc. I'd probably be ready to hang it up.

dondon_daxue · 10 months agoAs a musician/freelance polyglot, I find the gig economy post really interesting. My only question (in econbabble) is: how does one "smooth" the inherent volatility in one's "weathstreams" when one chooses this type of employment strategy?
