CA is having a rough winter. It's been constantly raining, weather typical of Seattle/Portland.
hope your relative gets better soon. It'll get better ... you just have to believe it'll work out. It's trite and overused advice but positive thinking never hurt anyone.

@sfordinarygirl: She has gotten a little better, thanks - and I couldn't agree more, positive thinking is sometimes the best (and only) thing you can do in some situations.
