OK, so I start out with supermassive corporation on a contracting basis on Monday. Lots of dire warnings about too much to do and late nights and whatnot are flung against the wall and left to droop.     Thanks for the link regarding an Entrepreneur running in the family. I am in the same boat that I have very little around me but I guess if anything, things led me to where I am right now to be somewhat of an Entrepreneur.

    Haha I am sorry to hear this Steve! Corporations are a weird mix. At Halliburton when I worked in the office it seems nothing would ever be accomplished. I'd do one thing to have to undo it a few hours later which was undone later which by next week I was fixing the things that had been done that needed to be undone so we could do the thing that was the same thing to it again.

    Overall, pretty exhaustingly pointless.

    You go into a number of different companies, Steve. Do you ever start a contract and within the first few days realize that you don't fit in there? That's a difficult conclusion to come to, because it's hard to distinguish between not fitting in and simply finding your comfort zone in the organization.

    The cultural fit is hard to do correctly. I assume that it's easier when you're a contractor, but you still have to have something familiar on which to anchor, right?

    Aaarrggghhh... Every corporation is the same. I really don't think the goal of most companies is to make money. I think they plan on dumbing us down with useless drudgery so the freakish rabbits can take over the world.
