    You know, I think most people don't know what to say about this topic. Do I want to admit that I'm envious of others who have done well? Of course not. Do I want to claim that it doesn't bother me at all? I could, but nobody would believe me. So we just remain silent and fuss and fume inwardly, building up resentful thoughts. We say things like, "I bet they have a miserable home life," or "He probably made a Faustian bargain to get that promotion." We may even secretly plot possible revenge (which of course we would never actually implement). So where does that leave us? We all know about the two paths diverging in the woods, and we all know that we can only follow one path at a time, but we don't seem to accept it emotionally. Maybe it's just part of being a human, wanting what you don't have, can't have, might not take even if offered.....but we'll always wonder why SHE got it and I didn't!
