I have liked Lending Club for how quick you can jump on the site and lend a few dollars and be off. You do not need to worry about being outbid by someone. You only have to consider that the loan might fund. That is why I only try to select loans already more than 50% funded. I posted my review of lending club some time ago, but the platform has made some improvements since that time.

Great review of Lending Club. I called their customer service once too and they were very helpful.

I think your assessment about Lending Club being more conservative than Prosper is spot on - that was my assessment as well. LC does not allow sub-prime personal loans either, which Prosper does.

I also agree with your statement about only lending money you can afford to part with. The loans aren't guaranteed, so you want to hedge your bets.

Overall, I think the P2P lending market shows promise, and over time I am investing small amounts of money there. Thanks for mentioning my articles! :)

Love the picture of Brad Pitt. It brought a smile to my face. Then I was laughing out loud about your new term "ghettoized." While I wouldn't agree that P2P lending sites are "ghettoized," I'm happy that you used the term.
